Nuestro equipo ha trabajado en el seno de organismos del sistema de Naciones Unidas, en la Comisión Europea, en la Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo, en diversas ONGD españolas y en empresas de consultoría especializadas. Asimismo, ha realizado trabajos de asistencia técnica para múltiples organismos internacionales y donantes públicos y privados.
AIDEAS es una empresa de consultoría que asesora y trabaja en el diseño, financiación, gestión, ejecución, monitoreo y evaluación de acciones relacionadas con el desarrollo económico, social y ambiental, así como en acciones de cooperación internacional, comercio justo y responsabilidad social empresarial.

Entendemos que trabajar en el ámbito del desarrollo es un asunto fundamentalmente ético, donde es importante el método y el conocimiento técnico, pero más importante la actitud ante el proceso de “trabajar juntos”, aunando el talento colectivo y heterogéneo de cada uno de los que nos encontramos en este camino, mediante el reconocimiento de lo colectivo y del carácter necesariamente colaborativo y bidireccional de los procesos de desarrollo para lograr un mundo más justo y equitativo. Valorando especialmente conceptos como la innovación, la sostenibilidad y, de manera fundamental, el trabajo en red.

AIDEAS is the brainchild of a group of professionals with wide experience in different areas related to social and economic development. Our team has worked at the core of agencies in the United Nations system, the European Commission, the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, several development NGOs and in specialised consultancy firms. We have also done technical assistance work for numerous international institutions, and public and private donors.
AIDEAS is a consultancy firm that provides assistance and support in the design, finance, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of social, economic and environmental development actions, as well as international cooperation projects, fair trade and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
We provide advice and assistance to public and private organisations in the definition and implementation of policies, strategic and operational plans, which we complement with capacity building and training activities, both at the national and international level.
We also elaborate reports, conduct investigations, and undertake studies, communication and awareness raising actions on current development issues, tailoring our services for each of our clients, and offering solutions adapted to their needs.
We see development policies and actions today as an exercise of continuous adaptation, that challenge constantly our technical and social abilities.
We understand that the development process does not gravitate, as in other conventional sectors, around a linear and unidirectional process. It faces us to an enriching round-trip, instead of a cold and isolated result; it resembles more an unending spiral than a perfectly delineated segment.
As in the art and culture of the early XXI century, the journey is more important than the object. It is more about the how than the what.
Technical knowledge and sound method are fundamental, but the approach to the process of "working together" -joining the collective and heterogeneous talents of those we meet along the way-, are equally important. We know now that it is a process that requires mutual learning, transfer of skills and a constant ability to listen and understand.
Working in the development field is a purely technical enterprise that demands an ethical approach. We believe you cannot consider extreme poverty without also considering extreme wealth. One part of the world cannot be saved if another is dying. You cannot teach if you have not learned to learn.
Acknowledging the importance of a collective approach, the necessarily cooperative and bidirectional nature of development processes needed to build a fairer and more equitable world, forces us to revise the concept of growth, of maximized benefits, the notions of intellectual property, and giving more value to concepts such as innovation, sustainability and, fundamentally, working in networks.
To overcome existing imbalances and change reality, we must begin to see what doesn't exist. That is what we try to do, imagining the future. Our wish is to unify strengths, to lay bridges and to be a focal point and change agent. Generating ideas, facilitating processes.
