AIM Autosport decided it was time for a makeover on Riley Chassis No. 001. Following the final race of the season, the No. 61 Ford Riley was stripped to "the bones" and the process of peeling off some weight and repairing the odd blemish was begun.
Once the venerable 001 was all cleaned up, some new makeup was applied...... and the decision was to go with a "nice, clean look" in the form of a white powdercoat.
Here are some images of the car as it first appeared back in AIM's shop in Woodbridge.
We returned a couple of days later to get some pictures as the engine and some internal components were being added.
We will have some more "progress" shots next week.
