We come from Niagara Wheatfield High. Jake and Alec had known each other for a while, and they kinda started it all. We originally had Alec, Jake and Dave morris at the battle of the bands, and it was originally just a jazz jam, but Dave left and we needed something more. So instead of a little jam group, we put a band into play. Ska, like nothing else out, was our goal, so Ricky Coates, Jason Roman, and Eric Richardson were recruited, and A.K.S was born. Later we felt the need to add some low end to the horns to make it sound more full. Enter Seamus. For a more brassy and sassy sound, Joe Goal was brought in from Lockport, and to finish the lineup, Eric Equils was brought in to play guitar, as well as trombone on occasion.
Yes we know A.K.S is ska backwards, its stands for Abominable Killer Snowmen.
