Gabe gave forewarning the night before - the forecast was going to be dry, but it was going to be cold. The Food Stroll took its toll a few nights beforehand, as we played on the street on an unseasonably cold October night...

Above/Below Performing as part of the Oct 17 demonstration against the wars. Joined by Mista Mayday.

There was concern for the cold weather during the Food Stroll, most of all for our Shreveport import, who showed up with hands well tucked into his jacket pockets. Kevin detests the cold...

Above/Below We snuck into the promo video made by Conn College about New London 101, their freshman introduction to downtown. Thanks for the kind words Adam.

As part of Connecticut Colleges orientation program, freshmen and transfer students were introduced to downtown New London with walking tours, free lunch and live music.

This was written at the request of David. He's co-teaching a class called Prophets of Funk, and planning his new work with his company to be loosely about Sly and the Family Stone, or so I've heard...

One of the newer songs we are going to arrange, and hopefully debut at a show near you. This one I'll admit as being a bit like a Shakespearean tragedy, despite my standing as a staunch anti-Stratfordian...

Above/Below Above/Below featuring Mista Mayday will be performing at the October 17th Demonstration in Boston. Bojah and the Insurrection will also be performing in addition to numerous speakers.

Above/Below
Above/Below played this event last year, then with a very different lineup. New London Main Street and the Crocker House decided to bring us back this season, and we thank them for it. We're looking forward to playing.
If any passerby should take pity, please drop off some food for us. Because we'll be playing for your ...listening pleasure, we're not going to strolling, and subsequently, not eating. Our appetites run the gamut - I'll eat everything, and Gabe's vegan. Feel free to drop food off in Kevin Thornton's saxophone case. Thanks in advance for saving us from being those cliche starving musicians.
Walk by often to catch both A/B songs and maybe even some jazz tunes.
Danke

On behalf of Above/Below we want to thank both familiar faces and new who joined us for our performance this past weekend at New London's I AM Festival. Threatening skies and an opening time slot notwithstanding, we had a nice crowd out there...

Erma I missed you at I AM. Please tell me you'll be doing another gig around here soon.
