This year, nuovogue is proud to present the 2010 edition of its highly successful CoverGirl compeition with a big difference. For the first time, the 2010 event will combine the looks and talents of Adelaide’s freshest young female faces with the inaugural nuovogue CoverGuy competition … discovering Adelaide’s hottest ...guys all in the sun and fun of January/February next year.
This year is also a little different from the last two competitions. Bigger, simpler and MORE FUN!
What Are We Looking For?
This is NOT your everyday runway modelling competition. You do not need to be a 170cm, 55kg willlowy blonde with perfect bone structure or a 190cm, 95kg buffed and cut AFL player to be the 2010 CoverGirl or CoverGuy. We’re in search of Adelaide’s freshest new faces .. cover models with that real X‐Factor. It’s about the total package .. not just how good you look or perform on the runway.
You can already be signed with an agency, but we’re not looking for girls or guys with heaps of experience. If you consider yourself to be undiscovered then you’re who we need. If you see yourself as having lots of experience in the industry, sorry, this one is not for you.
You’ll need to be at least 18 at the time of your shoot to be eligible to participate. There are no upper age limits … its entirely up to you.

This year is going to be hotter than ever, not only is it in the sun and fun of Ja...nuary/February 2010 but it is also shaping up to include some of the best sponsors we have seen to date.
The nuovogue CoverGirl was launched in 2007 to support the launch of the innovative and award winning nuovogue Cover Magazine. After two heats and considering more than 40 entrants, in December 2007 the judges announced Vanessa Bockman as the inagural CoverGirl.
Since winning the 2007 event,Vanessa’s career has gone from strength to strength and she now operates a successful promotions and event management business and is an integral part of Adelaide’s model and fashion industry.
Last year, Kathryn Gibbie was crowned 2008 CoverGirl and is now working in Melbourne. Runner Up, Elise Griffiths is currently appearing on the Channel 7 hit show, Beauty and the Geek.
