Last week we went with Grandpa and Grandma to visit with Santa. Boston of course, was really excited.

On his Christmas List:

  • Batman Mask
  • Batman Car
  • Batman Sketchers

(can you tell he's really into Batman???!!)

Daxton on the other hand was once again scared of the big man with the white beard. Check out that face - do you think his little lip could stick out any further?

The poor guy was pretty upset but once he got a bag of candy from Santa's helper he settled down. The experience was pretty traumatic because now he doesn't want Santa to come to our house, Boston disagrees.

I promise this is a story worth reading:

I ordered a Christmas Present for Eric at the beginning of December thinking it had plenty of time to arrive for the holidays. Well as of last Friday I still had not received the package and I'm really starting to get nervous about it's arrival. So I email the company and I receive a response back from them saying that I need to be patient because the mail can be really slow this time of year.

Fast forward to this morning. I go to our Adornit post office box to pick up our business mail. I do a double take when I see that this catalog has been returned.

Why does that seem weird you're thinking? Well, let's take a closer look.

Yes folks, your eyes do not deceive you. That does say 2006. I'm glad to know that after 3 years the mail was finally able to return this catalog to us. I guess that if Eric's present doesn't come by Christmas it could come anytime between this year and 2012. That's reassuring!

We had the most wonderful evening on Saturday. We took the boys shopping to get each other one present to exchange on Christmas. They had so much fun shopping. Afterward we came home to have our very own Fancy Christmas Dinner. Since we live so close to family we never have a Christmas dinner with just the four of us. I decided I wanted to do something special so we pulled out the candles, sparkling cider,  the fancy china dishes, and I made a yummy dinner including rolls. This is definitely a new tradition!

This is the first time I pulled out our fancy china dishes. We brought them back with us from England. While we were there visiting we went to the Potteries region and shopped in the Spode factory outlet.
