It's the only MUD I've ever tried, and I don't see any particular reason to switch now. I find it drawing me back time and time again.

Hahaha All I can think of with the bunghole characters is the guy from the World of Warcraft episode of South Park.

You can't say you played online RPG until you tried a MUD and Aetolia really is one of the best.

I have been playing this game for well over 5 years. I tried other MUDS but no matter what I always played Aetolia, and have never looked back. To anyone who wants to get themselves involved in a world of fantasy and politics, this is with out a doubt the best game by far to play. The combat alone is worth it, just to use my Vampire to crush some foolish mortal, who dares to stand in my way :P

I have an elder character on Aetolia, and have been playing the game for something like seven years now. It's great on the imagination and always a pleasure for me to play. I've been through ruling councils and guildmaster positions and whatnot and I like to think I have a pretty good understanding of Aetolia. Nevertheless, I always feel like something new can be discovered or some part of my character can be improved and thus I always find myself coming back. Of course, there's going to be a bunghole character or two that I despise who leaves me frustrated, but that inevitably just means more spicy conflict and fun story lines in the realm. Five Stars all the way.
