About Me:
I am running for US Senate and having an absolute blast. Everywhere I go-from Nashwauk to Minneapolis, Mankato to Moorhead-- I find huge crowds of passionate supporters. Throughout the campaign, I’ll use my Facebook profile to connect and energize voters from around Minnesota and across the country.

From Hubert Humphrey to Paul Wellstone and now Amy Klobuchar and Tim Walz, Minnesota's public servants might not always look and sound like typical politicians--but they stand by their principles and lead by their values. That's the kind of leader I think we need more of these days, and that's the kind of Senator I'll be.

I have been married to my wife, Franni, for 31 years--many of them happy. We are the proud parents of two wonderful children--and my Facebook “friends”--Thomasin and Joe.

Campaigning keeps me pretty busy so I might not always have time to reply to every wall post and message myself. My trusted Team Franken interns will help me respond to some of these, but I will reply when I have an opportunity. We’ll always let you know who’s writing on your wall or sending you a message.

I cannot win this race alone. Join my Facebook group (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2240413846), visit my website (http://www.alfranken.com), volunteer your time--we’d love to have you on Team Franken!

I was a huge fan of everything you did for SNL. I admire what I know you will do for Minnesota. I love our state and was proud to wear your sticker and cheer on your daughter when she ran in the Fourth of July parade in my hometown of Forest Lake.

I am so excited for you to beat Norm Coleman and start changing the world.

Al, I supported you when you first announced by donating, and asking my friends to donate as well. We truly need another liberal in the senate. Russ Feingold certainly can't do it all himself. I hope you kick Norm Coleman out of the senate, and start those impeachment proceedings straight away! Go Al!

Go get 'em Al. I still remember watching you draw the map of the US while describing the electoral process, brilliant!Good luck from a fellow Democrat in TX.

Al permeates pop culture and runs for the Senate. What can't this man do?

Al, I am a teenager from Ohio, even though I cannot vote for you I wish you the best of luck. Perhaps try the Colbert bump, see if you can even get the Obama bump. I hope to donate something.
Good Night and Good Luck
