Matt Roach Is there an email address I can send my resume to? :) I'd love to write cooking reviews for you guys. When I'm at home, I'm always either setting up an elaborate meal or trying to figure out a way to gather a bunch of friends together so I have an excuse to cook more!

Since I do a little woodworking, my neighbor asked me if I knew how to fix his burnt out fluorescent tube.

Flexcut's Skew Carving Knife is used for taking more vertical cuts where room is limited for a conventional whittling stroke. The comfortable carved handle allows for long periods of carving without hand fatigue.

RANDOM FACT: Kokeshi dolls, originally from northern Japan, are handmade from wood, have a simple trunk and an enlarged head with a few thin, painted lines to define the face, and lack arms or legs. The woods used for kokeshi vary, with cherry used for its darkness and dogwood for its softer qualities; Japanese maple i...s also used. The wood seasons outdoors for 1-5 years before it is used. These dolls were originally made as souvenirs for tourists that came to bathe in the hot springs.Read More

I did make it; traffic was really bad with the bay bridge closed. As usual I spent too much.
I did really enjoy talking to the vendors. I always learn something new, either about tools or cooking.
While I was there, I also had one of my shoji chisels sharpened. It is a very different chisel and the only one I do not know how to sharpen. The guy ... Read Morewho sharpened it suggested I buy an expensive sharpening set up, because it is the only way to sharpen this type of chisel. I passed on buying it; I figure I will get it re-sharpened at the next open house.
I did not like that you had to be there for the drawing. Seems to me if you make it there, you guys could call me and I can come and pick up my winnings. (With that said I have never won anything anyway).
