Alan Rose thanks everyone who showed up at the Nines last night, the Rongo two weeks ago, and Castaways three weeks ago. Next up is Musefest, August 28 - 30. We're on the Cafe Stage at 2 PM on Saturday (8/29). Need tickets? Buy 'em from me and you'll not only save $5 vs. the online price, you'll also be helping me pay the band...

Alan Rose We just spent three days at Electric Wilburland recording most of an album, so even though we'll be down a player or two, we'll be bringing our A game.

Kites In Space will be playing in an all-new configuration starting at 10. You might recognize them. We'll hit the stage around 11 and play until near closing. The kit...chen is open and the food is good, so bring your appetite, too. Pizza, Corn Nuggets, Chicken Chili, and sometimes a great homemade Turkey Gumbo.

Invite your friends along!

Music, deep dish pizza, and corn nuggets. What more could you want?

Alan Rose It had to happen sometime, and a last minute cancellation at Castaways this Friday made it possible. Four members of my band are in Kites in Space. The other three are in the Weeping Willards. For the first time ever, all three of us are on the same bill.

Kites in Space (Benn, Chris, Katelyn, Scott, and Stephen) play m...elodic indie rock and the occasional Seth Feldman cover.

The Weeping Willards (Danny, Isaac, Jesse, and Mike) play music influenced by the Beatles, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, ska, and New Orleans.

Alan Rose (Alan, Benn, Chris, Danny, Isaac, Jesse, Scott, and Stephen) is the songwriter over the 12-string edge, with a sound that recalls the Jersey Shore in the mid-70s.

No cover, just come out and enjoy the music.

Ten musicians, three bands, no cover

Laurence Hart Just listened to your tunes Alan. Sounds Great! The first strum of the 12 string brought me back about 28 years!

Thanks, Larry. Sorry it took so long to see your note. Glad you enjoyed these songs. I'm looking forward to getting them into the studio finally. We've both come a long way since the days of The Rocket, eh?

Alan Rose We'll be joining the Weeping Willards for the second week of this summer's weekly Wednesdays with the Weeping Willards series at the downtown Collegetown Bagels location (corner of Seneca and Aurora streets). Sure, it's a small space. We'll all fit somehow.

We start at 6 and the Willards go on at 7.

Admission is free, ...but you're encouraged to Feed the Triceratops.

Alan Rose posted a version of that Tainted video with cleaned up sound on my YouTube page. I also found a few clips of partial songs from last year's Ithaca Festival set and an August '08 show at Collegetown Bagels that I linked to there. Check it all out at http:/
