We just spent three days at Electric Wilburland recording most of an album, so even though we'll be down a player or two, we'll be bringing our A game.

Kites In Space will be playing in an all-new configuration starting at 10. You might recognize them. We'll hit the stage around 11 and play until near closing. The kit...chen is open and the food is good, so bring your appetite, too. Pizza, Corn Nuggets, Chicken Chili, and sometimes a great homemade Turkey Gumbo.

It had to happen sometime, and a last minute cancellation at Castaways this Friday made it possible. Four members of my band are in Kites in Space. The other three are in the Weeping Willards. For the first time ever, all three of us are on the same bill.

Kites in Space (Benn, Chris, Katelyn, Scott, and Stephen) play m...elodic indie rock and the occasional Seth Feldman cover.

The Weeping Willards (Danny, Isaac, Jesse, and Mike) play music influenced by the Beatles, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, ska, and New Orleans.

Alan Rose (Alan, Benn, Chris, Danny, Isaac, Jesse, Scott, and Stephen) is the songwriter over the 12-string edge, with a sound that recalls the Jersey Shore in the mid-70s.

Alan Rose We'll be joining the Weeping Willards for the second week of this summer's weekly Wednesdays with the Weeping Willards series at the downtown Collegetown Bagels location (corner of Seneca and Aurora streets). Sure, it's a small space. We'll all fit somehow.

We start at 6 and the Willards go on at 7.

Admission is free, but you're encouraged to Feed the Triceratops.
