Book House of Stuyvesant Plaza
Join us in welcoming Adam Shepard, author of Scratch Beginnings, as he signs his book and discusses the experiences therein. At the age of 23, Shepard struck out with only $25, a sleeping bag, and the clothes he was wearing. He gave himself one year to acquire a working car, a furnished apartment, and $2500 in savings.... The book is about that year and is a response to Barbara Ehrenreich's book Nickel and Dimed and should generate a lively discussion!
