Rockefeller Institute of Government State Tax Collections Across U.S. Plummeted in First Quarter: The weakened national economy continued to erode state tax collections during the first quarter of 2009, with overall tax collections falling 12.6 percent, according to a new report from the Rockefeller Institute of Government.
