New York State Writers Institute
Our New York State Writers Institute (NYSWI) attracts leading authors as well as filmmakers like Spike Lee. The NYSWI sponsors programs including visiting writers, films, panel discussions and writing workshops.

UAlbany is the summer home of the New York Giants, the 2008 Super Bowl champions. The team has held their summer training camp at UAlbany's uptown campus from late July to late August since 1996.
