Albany Parks & Recreation Hop-into-Spring: for ages 3-12. 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009, at the Heritage Mall, 1895 14th Ave. SE. Join Mrs. Bunny and the Albany Parks and Recreation staff as they welcome spring with sweet treats, springtime arts and crafts, stories, and more. The cost is $5 in city and $7 out of city. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.

Albany Parks & Recreation In the Morinji temple in ancient Japan, a monk cleans up an old teakettle and places it on the fire when suddenly it sprouts a tail, a head and four legs of a Tanuki (a racoon like animal). Frightened by the strange transformation he sells the teakettle to a poor junk woman. She discovers it is a teakettle of good luck.... Together they create a theatre where the “Magic Teakettle of Good Luck” entertains and delights audiences with tricks and the Cherry Blossom Dance.
