That's so great! Maybe someday Art in the School will have as many fans. I know the 6,600 kids we serve are fans, but they aren't all on Facebook - ha!

Fractal Foundation Currently my favorite 2D fractal zoom in the planetarium show. The middle section, where it all melts down, is particularly entrancing. Enjoy!

Yeah, this is one of my favorites. What I really love is that each one we do is the best we've ever done... and then we top it. Wahoo!

Sorry for the ambiguity. It was in Corrales, outside of Albuquerque NM. And the event was great! Thanks to all who showed up, we had a great turnout, with over 30 kids making fractal triangles.

Fractal Foundation Some tremendously exciting research on 3D Mandelbrot Sets. I've been exploring this myself, with the goal of including in planetarium fractal shows. Great to see this progress. Much more amazement ahead.

It's been almost two years since we last wrote about the potential for a real 3D equivalent to the famous 2D Mandelbrot set. We're talking about a fractal which produces exquisite detail on all axes and ...

Yes, I too saw the resemblance with Ernst Haeckels work from long ago. No surprise that microscopic nature should look like 3D Mandelbrot fractals, I guess, except it is somewhat miraculous.
And YES, of course I'll be working to get some of this scrumptious new material into the Fractal Shows!

Fractal Foundation Just got back from teaching ~100 students at Laguna-Acoma High School, and they were SO excited about making fractals with algebra! Many want to enter their fractals in the Fractal Challenge, even tho' it's only really funded in ABQ. Hopefully we can raise the money to make it a State-wide program.

Marissa Nordstrom Perez Last night at the grocery store my four year old wanted to sit in the cart and I told her she was too big so she couldn't. She then whined, "But my feet will get all fractally!" Sometimes keeping a straight face is just impossible.

Kristofer

Kristofer Hello fractal lovers! I wonder if there's someone out there who makes nice fractal videos and would like to make a contribution to a show about science? Your contribution will be a fractal video that'll be played on a screen on stage while a person reads a poem about fractals. If this sounds interesting, please mail kristofer.robin.poesi@gmail.com !
