Update on the bus situation: We have 15 families; so, the current cost would be $62.5/week/family. REMEMBER: AS WE INCREASE THE NUMBER OF CHILDREN ON THE BUS, THE COST PER FAMILY WILL DROP. I am also looking into having APS renegotiate our base cost down from $175/day:

Here are the costs, if we charter the bus for $175/day:

Tammy, thanks so much for organizing this.

One of the reasons we were attracted to Mesa Del Sol was its commitment to environmentalism. Having a bus to bring the kids to school (since MDS is not close for anyone) just makes sense. I hope we have enough families interested so it is affordable to everyone.

It will save so much gas, time and ... See Morewear and tear on cars for everyone :) Also, there is going to be construction next fall at the Rio Bravo exit on I-25 - so anything we can do to minimize our traffic to the school would probably be helpful...

BEFORE AND/OR AFTER SCHOOL CARE

If you are looking for before and/or after school care, please consider joining us with chartering the bus. If we are able to charter the bus, we will also have before-and-after school care available. We are in the process of negotiating with a couple of venues at San Mateo and Indian School.
