Personal Information:	Fan Page Administered by Daniel Bigras, of Tricolore.ca Born on February 24th 1973, in the city of Togliatti, Russia. Drafted in 1991 but the New York Rangers, but never played very well with them. Was traded in 1998 to the Penguins, where he really blossomed, average more than 1 point per game for three seasons straight. Was traded back to the Rangers in 2003, but again, never played very well, average 0.6 to 0.7 points per game. Was to the Montreal Canadiens in March 2004, just in time for the playoffs. Alexei was disappointing many fans in the last 12 games of the seaosn with only 3 points, but it's in the 2003-2004 playoffs that Alexei showed his pride, registering 6 goals and 10 points in eleven playoff games. He signed a 4-year contract in the summer of 2005 to remain with Montreal. In his first complete season with Montreal, Alexei showed what he was made of by averaging close to 1 point per game, a feat he was able to do only with the Penguins, never with the Rangers. In the 2006-2007 season, Alexei disappointed many fans with a Rangers-like season. :-) Rumors even mentionned that he would ask for a trade. After a disappointing setback with the Russian team for the 2007 World championship and a great talk with GM Bob Gainey, Alexei was reborn for the 2007-2008 season. For the first time of his career, what he's really made of, he's showing his leadership skills, he's average close to 1 point per game. Most importantly, he's showing that he can be consistent, because his reputation always mentionned that Alexei was not always performing at his best.
