Jasmine Ohlhauser, Bill Bourne, Wyckham Porteous and Sylvia Cloutier joining in a collaboration that took spectators' breaths away during the Alianait opening ceremonies. Jasmine performs a Hula hoop number while Sylvia accompanies with traditional Qatadjak (inuit throat singing).

Always an Alianait favourite, Artcirq is Nunavut’s own Arctic Circus troupe led by Northerner of the Year, Guillaume Salladin. They are currently on a bold skidoo expedition through Baffin Island with 20 people and 7 skidoos, travelling from Igloolik to Pond Inlet, and then to Clyde River where they wi...ll present workshops and shows. This year alone, Artcirq has already performed in Paris, Mexico, Ottawa and Quebec and last year gained international acclaim with their collaborative production of Fibonacci, premiered at the Alianait Arts Festival with Cirko de Mente and Les 7 Doigts de la Main.

Productions Kalabante
Led by Artistic Director, Yamoussa Bangoura, Productions Kalabante is a multi-talented collaboration of Guinean and Francophone musicians and acrobats formed in 2007. Their music is a haunting mix of soul, jazz and traditional Guinean kora, balafon and doun doun. Yamoussa began his circus career with Circus Baobab in Guinea Conakry, then performed with Cirque Eloize from 2002 to 2006 in Canada, Europe, in China, Israel, and New Zealand. Yamoussa has performed in Igloolik, Cambridge Bay and at last year’s Alianait Arts Festival with the world premiere of Fibonacci.
