It's up to our reviewers what they'd like to review but suggestions are welcomed. Of course, we're only interested in books with a food focus and more than just a cookbook (if a cookbook then one with lots of prose, too.) Creative nonfiction, memoir, novels...Let us know!

Alimentum Didja know? It's not just about what's on your plate.

Alimentum Alimentum was cited for a notable essay in the current 2009 Best American Essays. The essay we published: "Killing Lambchop" by Penelope Schwartz Robinson. Our Editor Peter Selgin was also cited for "Dead to Rights: Confessions of a Caricaturist" published by the Colorado Review.

Alimentum Two things: We had a blast cooking up recipepoems at the Southern Festival of Books. And we thank Jim 'N Nick's BBQ for sending those cheese biscuits our way for the Poetry of Food session. Yum! A VERY tasty weekend! Here's Nancy and I stirring up the pot, whisking the vinaigrette, and cutting the homegrown watermelon!
