Matthew Wolfe

Matthew Wolfe Hi, I'm doing a adopt a highway Saturday through my daughter's school. Does anyone know where I might be able to loan some "Cleanup crew ahead" signs? Our highway is Banksville Rd and it can be pretty narrow. I'd just like to ensure our volunteers are safe. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Matthew...Unfortunately, I'm just seeing this now. For some reason, fan wall posts are not easily seen on this page. I know it's too late now, but for future references, we have a couple of signs you can borrow. You can also usually get them from Penn Dot. We (and they) have safety vests, and bags and gloves, too. Call us if you need anything for a cleanup - 412-381-1301. Thanks for cleaning up Banksville Rd!!!!

Allegheny CleanWays Despite the cold temps and threat of rain, more than 100 people showed up to help "reddup" Homewood for the Fall Reddup. Of those, about 31 volunteers - including FRANCO HARRIS (!!!) - helped us clean up an illegal dumpsite in the community, removing about 2 tons of trash and 30 tires from the site.

Allegheny CleanWays Working with Allegheny Land Trust, we began a thorough cleaning of Sycamore Island this very chilly morning. Thanks to 28 hearty volunteers, including 12 from NRG Energy, close to 3 tons of accumulated debris was removed. There is still much to do, but we put a big dent in it. Allegheny CleanWays

Allegheny CleanWays About 25 volunteers braved the rain to help remove about 1.5 tons of metal, tires and debris from Mt. Washington Park. Many thanks to Bob and his son who cut up much of the metal before the cleanup, making it much easier for us to move it up the hill.

Allegheny CleanWays To quote former Mayor O'Connor, "It's time to reddup Pittsburgh, 'cause company's coming!" In preparation for the G-20 Summit, we'll be working with community stewards and other members of the Clean Pittsburgh Commission to clean up the city and county. The first event is on September 12th. Several communities throu...ghout the city will be hosting cleanups that day. We'll be coordinating the efforts to clean up the corridors leading from our two airports to downtown.
