Art Opening Party 1/16/10: The Rotten Candy - Parsons/Kolbek
ROTTEN CANDY SHOW
This collaboration show, which will feature the work of Michael Parsons and John Kolbek, will be an example of transgression of childhood innocence / dreams / ignorance / bliss into the darker realms of adulthood / reality / life.
Rotten Can...dy seems to fit this show very well. Candy itself is always affiliated with children (treats) (rewards). Candy itself is very bad for you, it rots away your teeth, its not nutritional in any way. The idea of the show is to show you, the viewer, a comparison between the two, and a passage of time which shows after life is unwrapped and the nice taste is gone what you're left with is a very dark view of what remains.

Kimberly I never got the chance to visit the Tattoo/Art Studio hope to do so someday soon!!! I would love to visit to see Craig's art.... Thursday after the ceremony, Craig's friends will be meeting at Stooges
Bar 2101 W. Liberty St. in Allentown. The back room has been reserved
and they will be hiring additional staff to accomodate us. The
reservation is for 12:00 until ? This is not a hosted event, it is
simply so that we can all be together at this time.
