Allianz Knowledge We were looking for solutions to our massive waste problem and found a great example in Malmö, Sweden, one of the world's greenest cities!

Kilde: knowledge.allianz.com
Most people see the stuff they throw away as ‘waste’—smelly, ugly, toxic junk they want removed. The citizens of the Swedish city of Malmö, however, don’t see waste, they see resources.

Allianz Knowledge Life began in the oceans. If we don't do something about climate change, overfishing, and pollution, it might end there as well.

Kilde: knowledge.allianz.com
Earth is a blue planet, but its color is fading fast. The world’s oceans, two thirds of the planet’s surface, are in rapid decline. Climate change and overfishing lead the list of culprits: to save our seas we must cut carbon and put away our nets.

Allianz Knowledge Indian fim maker talks about rag pickers in Mumbai. Without them, Mumbai would be one huge dump. But their lives are pretty hard.

Kilde: knowledge.allianz.com
Without the millions of rag pickers that search for recyclable garbage, India’s cities would drown in waste. But the general public still shuns them as outcasts, criticizes film maker Parasher Baruah., Rag Pickers: Saving India from Waste

Dear Lindaxe, there are loads of things we can do to reduce emissions. You can read a lot about this on our website, but to sum it:
- we can put pressure on our politicians to pass climate-friendly legislation
- use public transportation or bikes
- consume less meat more veggies
- recycle our waste and reduce the use of plastics... Læs mere
- insulate our homes, buy energy-efficient appliances
The list is nearly endless. Here is a link to our Take Action Section with more ideas:

Hey Ro,
Its complicated but to sum it up:
1. Australia has a high carbon footprint and relies heavily on the export of carbon-intensive resources like coal. Two things that will have to change in a low carbon world.
2. Australia already suffers from drought and depeleted water resources, which is a heavy burden for agriculture. This also increases the risk of wildfires.
Hope that helps,... Læs mere
