The HBO documentary “The Alzheimer's Project: Momentum in Science” details the current explosion of knowledge within the scientific and medical communities from imaging the earliest signs of Alzheimer’s, to understanding the roles that genetics and lifestyle might play, to the tremendous progress being made in the effo...rt to develop drugs to treat or even prevent the disease. The Denver screening will be presented on Thursday, November 5 from 7 - 9 pm at The Starz FilmCenter at the Tivoli Center
Auraria Campus.
A panel discussion with audience participation will follow with panelists Dr. Jack Klapper; researcher, Dr. Clemencia Dublin; geriatrician and Jessica McIntire, whose family is featured in the documentary. A wine and cheese reception will be held after the program.

The HBO documentary; Momentum in Science details the current explosion of knowledge within the scientific and medical communities fr...om imaging the earliest signs of Alzheimer’s, to understanding the roles that genetics and lifestyle might play, to the tremendous progress being made in the effort to develop drugs to treat or even prevent the disease. A panel discussion with audience participation will follow with panelists Dr. Alan Zacharias, neurologist and Dr. Victoria Pelak, assistant professor of Neurology and Ophthalmology at University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine. This event is free of charge and is presented by Boulder Community Hospital and the Alzheimer’s Association Colorado Chapter.
