Band Interests:	Outside of music, my next major interest would be dancing. I have studied classical ballet for many years, and currently perform part-time with the premiere company the Austin Classical Ballet. <BR> I also enjoy ballroom dancing and other social dances. <BR>
Biography:	<BR>Greetings! Thank you for visiting my Facebook profile! This page is mostly for me to share with you who I am as an artist and as a person. If you would like more information about my services for weddings and other events, please visit my home page at www.austinharpamanda.com <BR> <BR> My goal as an artist is to create music that touches hearts and expresses who I am. The different styles I play each reflect a different facet of my life. <BR> <BR> Classical music is important, because, as a classically trained performer, it is the backbone of technique. Plus, you just can't beat the writings of Debussy, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and all the other great composers from our past! I have to say that "Claire de lune" by Claude Debussy, is my favorite piece to play. <BR> <BR> Pop music and movie themes are also something I find very enjoyable to play. Well known things like "Phantom of the Opera", "Sound of Music", and "Titanic" are not only fun pieces to learn, but people recognize them and can follow along. <BR> <BR> Of course, these aren't the only types of music I play! Wedding standards, hymns, and seasonal music are often times the 'bread and butter' of my job as a performer, and I keep a growing list of these. I also am constantly branching out to try new styles. I love to explore with jazz, international, and even some rock songs on the harp! <BR> <BR> In all, my ambition is to constantly challenge myself to broaden my musical spectrum.
