Amateurboyz are the founders and organizers of the very promising Amateur Parties in Athens for the last three years that started off as house parties at their place in Exarcheia and then moved to the russian disco Meteorit.
They spent the following year expanding their events in town as resident djs, moving their parties around the city(Arena mainstream Polish Club,Ro-mania disco,BG bulgarian disco-ex Strip club-ex cinema,exotic tourists disco Lavabore) and trying to explore Athens as much as music....
Their genuine love for eclectic dance music gathered an enthusiastic and spontaneous partying crowd by blending no wave,italo disco,space disco,nu disco,mutant punk funk,early 90's from house to acid, as well as by introducing to the athenian crowd guest djs such as Tronik Youth, Punks Jump Up, Joakim, Headman, Shir Khan and many more.
They have also organized live acts and performances featuring Rodion, AIDS3D, Namosh, Don Cash, and special events such as the Peres Projects Gallery party in Athens.
Amateur Party has been a party for original people who wanna have fun and dance the night away.
Apart from Amateur Parties they have also been occasionally involved with various events like Terence Koh's performance in Athens Biennial, Genderpop Festival in Bios music venue and freinds' house parties. "Encore" is the new project party of Amateurboyz team ,All the events (ENCORE I ,ENCORE II,ENCORE III,ENCORE IV.....) will take place at BG venue , located at 3 Septemvriou Str., which was originally a cinema but was later transformed to «Diamonds and Pearls» Strip Bar . Every ENCORE party will show great focus on each night’s live act,the night will be succeeded by the Amateurboyz and a guest Dj act, who truly will represent the vibrating dance scene , based mostly into balearic Punk , Hi-NRG , Re-edits , Mutant Disco , Punk Funk , electrodisco , Italo , Proto-House , Early Detroit & Chicago and more.....
