Brian Hartman Just installed the Kindle for PC software. Are there any plans for the software to support unencrypted mobi files? I'm reading a mobi book on my Kindle right now, and it doesn't show up in the software.

Aaron Anderson How do the books and magazines work? Do you pay a monthly fee or something? To get classic books like Steinbeck or Dostoyevsky would you have to pay?
Robert George Hunsche I got my Kindle a month ago and have read at least 3 hours everyday since. I love it, there are so many classics at low prices, it is great and not to mention many of them are free. You can't beat the Kindle it is AWESOME!!!!!

Created by Angela Kohler and Ithyle Griffiths, our new Kindle commercial was the winner of the Your Amazon Ad contest and is now airing on national TV. Here is what the creators had to say about their ad:
"We received an e-mail about the contest two weeks after Ithyle and I
bought Kindles; I’m st...upid for my Kindle…I love it," said Kohler. "We
were in the airport and everyone was asking about it, so, on a plane
from Japan to Thailand we brainstormed ideas and sketched out little
stories that our character could fall into following different literary
genres. We scribbled out pictures on napkins and made a flipbook,
putting the little scenes in different orders."

loves my Kindle!!!! my 13 1/2 yr old daughter is BEGGING to get her very own Kindle for Christmas! the only downside to Kindle that I see is that I can't share my books with others.....if i could "remove" a book from my Kindle and loan it to a friend....then have it "re-added" to my Kindle when my friend finished it.......that would be a great thing! i've always loved sharing my books with my friends.....and Kindle removes the possiblity of sharing my books.....Read More
