Jenni I am curious is anyone else has had similar problems to me. I used this group when looking for an OB-GYN when I first needed one. I found one on the list in my area (who btw) is still on the list. That having been said, the only thing he/his staff didn't reccomend was abortion. Amnio=no problem, other genetic test=...no problem, and most importantly birth control (ads all over the office and asked what I was going to use after the birth of my first baby at 30)= no problem. If that is pro-life than I guess my definition is different than others.

Jenni: See our mission statement at http://www.aaplog.org/missionstatement.aspx We are prolife, pro-woman, anti-abortion. Did the doctor meet those criteria? Re: amnio and genetic tests-these are wrong if one is using them to destroy the baby, but right if one is using them to be ready for a difficult baby situation, possibly requiring immed... Dr's who use abortificant BC pills are not pro-life!!!!! It doesn't matter if they are anti-abotion if they are killinga baby before it gets a chance to implant they are still killing a baby. Amnio's are never necessary there are other tests that put a lot less risk to the baby. And BTW your mission statement was the first thing I read. I agree that your group is a step in the right direction. I use your group to find Drs. I am just cautious now and think others should be aware.

Jenni: aaplog is absolutely opposed to abortifacient pills. Mifeprex is a demonstrated abortifacient. As for birth control pills--read the discussion board, as suggested above. To go more indepth, go to http://www.aaplog.org/PositionsAndPapers/OralContraceptiveControversy.aspx?fileID=1
The preimplantation abortifacient question for bcp is an honest controversy, not a demonstrated fact, with strongly prolife doctors on both sides. jdc/aaplog

I have read and will continue to read articles related to this issue. I understand where you are coming from but as a pro-life individual, I thought when I first located your site that it would be a like minded place to find a Dr.
Last night I just wanted your other readers to know my experiences. As I have mentioned before I will continue to ... See Moreuse your site and I just reccomended it to someone last week. I just think that people who think like I do should be informed that in some cases their pro-life dr.s will still reccommend BC pills.
