Rachel Roberts hey how hard is it to deal with diabetes when your a teen? Wasnt it also hard to take shots when all your friends arent diabetic...i wanted to know because i go through all of these complications

Judi Spencer Roberts Hey, have you found any local support groups in your area for the teens/pre-teens/kids with diabetes? Not even the medical facilities in our area have support groups for the kids. As a parent, I am offered countless support group offers through the mail, but NONE for the kids. I find this offensive. Is this the same in your area? ~judi

Hi Christian, I am not sure if you are the right person to contact, but I am one of the organizers of the USA Science Festival to be held in Washington DC in the fall of 2010 - I was hoping that the American Diabetes Association, and especillay the youth advocacy program, might want to participate. It will be a huge ev...ent in the Mall, with over 500 national and local organizations putting on fun, hands-on science related activities for kids - we would love to have you put on an activity related to diabetes that would be both fun and educational for attendees.
