An early morning Christmas house fire left five people homeless. Both of their dogs were lost in the fire. Red Cross volunteers were there to help.

American Red Cross - Southern Nevada Chapter Red Crossers have responded to 5 fires including two large apartment fires in the last 24 hours. One complex still on fire. American Red Cross - Southern Nevada Chapter A reception was held December 9th to celebrate several years of dedicated service by employee Ryan Turner. Ryan has accepted a new job as the Emergency Management Coordinator at University Medical Center (UMC) hospital. The chapter presented him with a certificate and disaster vest signed by reception attendees.

Latest report indicated that distruction is widespread and parts of the island could be without electricity for a month - can you imagine?
