Amina Bhimla

THIS IS A FAN PAGE FOR AMINA BHIMLA who was born, raised and lives in Canada. Her parents are from the Philippines and India. During her early teenage years, she volunteered as Assistant Teacher for the ISNA School's summer program. She taught children between the ages of 4 and 7. She has been writing poetry since the early 1990's. Her second poem was featured in her high school yearbook publication, in Toronto, Ontario. After graduating from High School, her and the family moved for two years to Pakistan where other family lived. When returning to Canada, she began volunteering for a local community journal, The Ambition. She was one of the Writing Committee Members for the journal for five years. She works in retail sales while pursuing her dreams. She has worked as Co-President of a local musician's fan club for 10 years and updated and edited his Official Website. She has traveled around the world from USA, Mexico,South Asia, Europe and Northern African region. She has published two poetry books in 2005, Blinding Colors and Every Word. As of 2006, she has published one health book concerning eczema: The Journey Deep Within and a poetry book Amongst The Branches. In the summer of 2007, she published a Photobook titled, Path To The Soul. She is currently working on four books; The Road Leading To You (Poetry), Jasmine's Secret Diaries (Story/ Poetry), Jenny and Penny (Children's), and Pieces Scattered (Poetry).
Amina had always been artistic and enjoyed art class as a child and in her teens. It wasn't until high school when she began to explore that venue more. It was always thru art that she expressed herself best. It has only been recently that she has decided to explore those options once more and take a new look into those artistic possibilities. In writing poetry, her world changed. She enjoyed it so much that for some time, it was all she concentrated in life. She has never looked back.
