This morning I got to be with a family as they signed their 'Adoptive Placement Agreement', which is the form that tells all the official folks that this family is committing to adopting a particular kid- in this case an awesome 13 year old young man. Lots of happy people.
Then, I got to the office and had the absolute... pleasure of talking with two of our newest Amperfans, Mariel Bolger and Katie Emory. A couple of weeks ago these two cool teens hosted a Rave party for their 16th birthdays and asked friends to make a contribution to Ampersand Families at the door. Today they dropped off a pile of cash- nearly $500! They spend some time learning more about Ampersand and our families (even met a mom who stopped by). I think we have two new friends anxious to help other teens learn about kids awaiting adoption. Thanks so much Mariel and Katie!
