Christa Bruce Bravo ASTE! Rumor has it that this is the best conference in the state. A not-to-be-missed!!! Next year's February 19-22, 2011 is on the radar!

Brett Hill As outgoing ASTE Treasurer I'd like to let the membership know that the incoming Treasurer, Cheryl Bobo is doing a great job. She is learning fast and taking care of business. This volunteer position is like having a second job and requires steady work 12 months of the year. Thank you Cheryl for jumping right in and doing a great job.

Lynda Van Winkle I'm honored to be a part of the ASTE board and ready to plan the 2011 ASTE Conference.

Mary Wegner Thanks to everyone who made their voice heard at the ETAN Booth @ ASTE and sent letters to our folks in DC saying they support funding for ed tech! We sent 912 letters during ASTE, and as we head into the ESEA reauthorization process in DC your voices become so powerful. ASTE ROCKS!!!

Carla Schierholt It's hard to believe that ASTE was a month and half a go. It seems like yesterday that I was here at the Cook. I'm looking forward to the ASTE retreat and planning for next year's conference. So many people who went, loved the conference. It is SO Worth all the work that goes into making this great event happen.

Mattel Inc., thought it would be interesting to ask young girls who visited the Barbie.com Web site to vote on what the doll's next career should be. It gave them a choice of architect, anchorwoman, computer engineer, environmentalist and surgeon.

I learned so much so fast! It was a great
experience. Thanks! I looked for Jamie McKenzie's keynote on the ASTE website and couldn't find it. Does anyone know where to find it? Thanks.

Sharon L. Brooks The technology experience was informative in all realms. I learned terms like morphing, blabberize, and many more to numerous to mention:/ The presenters were informative and knowledgeable. It was great try and use new tools. Hands On.

Andy Holleman I would love to see technology teachers in Alaska do something between conferences. I know ASTE lives to do the conference, basically, and doesn't have a lot of resources, but the truth is, as teachers we do have a bunch of resources, collectively. We could be in touch and be sharing stuff all through the year. It w...ould elevate the level of what happens in the state, and ASTE would be better yet!!
