Know a teen who is looking for a volunteer gig? Is he or she interested in science, or a fan of Star Wars? Join us at 9 a.m. Jan. 23 or Jan. 30 to learn more about the museum’s Teen Science Guide Program.
Our Teen Science Guide Volunteers begin training soon to help visitors in the Star Wars exhibit and the new Imaginar...ium Discovery Center, which opens in May.

Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center It's your last chance to catch these exhibits, which all end Sunday: Science in Toyland, Artists at Play, Translations (Sandy Gillespie) Wonderland of Toys, Castner's Cutthroats and Life in Alaska Leading to Statehood.
Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center The museum is open today (Dec. 24), but we are closed tomorrow (Dec. 25). "Wonderland of Toys" is on view until Jan. 3, so make an outing part of your holidays. Lots of families have been in already to take their picture in front of the giant evergreen.
Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center Need a last-minute gift? The museum shop has handmade tree ornaments and other holiday goodies, as well as our regular offerings of Alaska-made jewelry, educational toys for kids and Alaska Native art. Eskimo yo-yos fit great in a stocking!

Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination, presented by Bose Corporation
Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center The Smithsonian Arctic Studies Center is really coming along! We've uploaded a new photo gallery so you can see for yourself.
Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center Sunday is Wells Fargo Free Day, so it's a great opportunity to come see the museum's sparkling holiday exhibit in the atrium. Live music is from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and there will be free cider and cookies. Admission to the museum is free all day, from noon to 6 p.m.

Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination, presented by Bose Corporation
Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center "Translations" is an amazing solo exhibition by Fairbanks artist Sandy Gillespie. Large-scale oils and smaller scale multimedia works and encaustic paintings convey the artist's relationship with the Interior and the written word.
