Andalee Belly Dance wants to go to a Suspira master class while in Orlando for the vacation, but hopes that she feels good enough to go.

Call it what you will: Raqs Sharqi, Dance Oriental, or Belly dance! Deirdre is devoted to this art form, and strives to bring a comprehensive technical proficiency together with her emotional connection with the music, to bring to her audiences the music given form. Deirdre first started to learn raqs sharqi from Gozd...e Hilal of Chapel Hill, NC. Gozde has had a tremendous influence over her dancing and my life. She have also been deeply influenced by Aziza of Montreal/Portland, and has been making yearly pilgrimages to train with this amazing dancer. Most lately, she has added Tamalyn Dallal to her list of inspiring teachers, and is looking forward to traveling abroad to learn from Ava Fleming and Hadia! It's been a wonderful time getting to learn from such amazing dancers! As a dancer, Deirdre has performed in a variety of venues - from large theatrical events to small weddings and cafes. She also teach beginner, intermediate and advanced classes, which tend to be intense, yet fun and rewarding.

Andalee Belly Dance These selected clips of Andalee show her grace and dynamic stage presence. Andalee is an Oriental Dancer and Instructor based in Durham, NC. Her mission is to promote Oriental Dance (aka belly dance) as respected and valid performance art. Andalee is available for public and private performances in the Triangle area (R...aleigh, Durham, & Chapel Hill) and beyond. She'll provide a family-friendly experience with all the glitz and glam that people come to expect from belly dancers.
