Mr. Crenshaw, I am one of your constituents. Please, please, please do not vote for any health care reform that levis taxes on individual Americans, businesses or insurance companies. A tax on any of these will result in a tax on us, the people. We don't need health care reform, we need real economic stimulus.

No health care. No cap and trade.

Also, when in doubt refer to the constitution as it provides a set of boundaries in which both Republicans and Democrats are crossing over.

The Utopian schemes of leveling [redistribution of wealth], and a community of goods, are as visionary and impracticable as those which vest all property in the Crown. These ideas are arbitrary, despotic, and, in our government, unconstitutional. - Samuel Adams

Ultimately, any layer between a physician and a patient causes an additional cost to the consumer. Government is even less efficient than the insurance companies the Obama/Pelosi have been railing against. The ultimate way to trim costs is to institute tort reform with loser pays provisions to cut down on Provider costs, have tax deffer-ed Health ... See MoreCare savings accounts, and carry either "catastrophic only" or no health insurance.

That being said, most people find insurance as a valuable investment for mitigating risk in financial planning therefore this is not an acceptable alternative in the free market system. A more suitable alternative would be to provide additional competition to the industry through allowing inter state insurance alternatives and allowing the Health Care savings accounts for those of us whom feel responsible enough to be able to take advantage of that option.
