Christine Blu Ashton

Christine Blu Ashton I friend suggested I read this over the holidays, when he knew I'd be alone. It was my constant companion in the evenings. I finished last night, with pages wet with tears. What a beautiful story. Thank you.

Christine

Christine I just finished "The Gargoyle" today Xmas eve. It is a fantastic book. I much admire how the different time layers and storylines are combined, very skillful. Reading was almost like watching a film. I visualised the characters and places. I imagined the protagonist to look like John Malkovich. Perhaps it will be a fil...m one day. I am glad I read it first though.

Deborah Marie Drake I just finished your book and I have to say it blew me away. I am an English teacher and am constantly analyzing literature and looking for deeper levels in everything I read, and your novel was so full of various flavors and nuances that it really spoke to me. Thank you for writing this magical story of healing and l...ove. I won't easily forget it. One question though, was it just imagination or did the main character not have a name? I looked back over it and couldn't find one. Maybe I just missed it. Thanks again.

Hi Deborah,

Thanks for the kind words, and you didn't miss anything. The narrator never told me his name, no matter how many times I asked.

Intriguing idea to have a narrator with no name...or is that any name. It almost makes it more personal. It just gets better and better. I think there will be a reread in myfuture.
Happy Holidays.

Meghan

Meghan I want to say I am rather impressed in the amount of research you put into give this boook is very intricate detail. I honestly had to make myself finish it because I did not want it to end. As for the ending, that was even more brilliant to me since its hard to find writers who could fluidly transition into it without... losing interest of the reader. I want to thank you for creating such a Masterpiece and I will be sending it to my Husband in Iraq to Enjoy. I look forward to the day you may publish another work of art....

Hi Meghan,

Thanks so much and I hope your husband enjoys it too.... It must be hard to be away from him, and I hope that reading the same book helps connect you a bit more. I know that it does when I am away from someone I care about....

Ana Ursulescu

Ana Ursulescu I bought The Gargoyle last month and got it signed (Gaudeamus Book Fair, Romania). I loved it and it's purely brilliant and shows how much work you've put in it. It was a real honor meeting you, because I admire persons who can dedicate themselves to something and who can create something so touching.

Emelie Alltorp

Emelie Alltorp It's sinister to write. I've realized that now. I never once before thought it would be, since I write as well even though I've never published anything. Perhaps that's why it has never bothered me before as I thought no more of writing than a dead rune that serves only one purpose. It's when something speaks to you an...d you can't speak back you look up to the sky and grit your teeth... so I suppose this is a good chance of making it less evil, by complimenting your book. Thank you.

Tressa Barnes Fancher

Tressa Barnes Fancher I've suggested The Gargoyle to many friends at Goodreads and none of them could put it down. They usually say it's the best book they read all year. The story is so rich that discussions branch out into many different tangents.

And thank you for joining in on discussions at Goodreads. It lets us know that you appreciat...e your readers. Not all authors are so giving of themselves. Looking forward to your second book and I hope the success of the first one doesn't put too much pressure on you. :-)
