Ange du Cacao ~ Cocoa Angel

While working for a Belgian chocolate manufacturer, I met Antonio Jimenez, a fourth generation Venezuelan cocoa farmer who shared with me his great-grandfather’s story of the mythical Angel del Cacao. According to Antonio, the Cocoa Angel brought the wild cacao seeds out of Paradise to the tropical rainforests in the Northern Amazon basin. Here in the basin beneath the canopy, the cacao trees grew and bore fruit under the protection of the Cocoa Angel. This exotic fruit, Theobroma cacao, was called “the food of the gods”, and when consumed, provided enlightenment and power to those who ate the fruit. Men quickly realized cocoa’s ability to invigorate their libido and its ability to increase the desire, arousal, and satisfaction of women. For this reason, men have gifted chocolate to women as a sign of love and sexuality through the millenniums.

Whether true or not, we have adopted the Cocoa Angel for her seductive qualities upon which we have based our line of premium chocolate. Using only real chocolate with 100% cocoa butter, Ange du Cacao chocolate possesses aphrodisiac-like seductive pleasure to simulate the senses. Since Ange du Cacao is produced from fine Belgian couverture, we have adopted the Belgian name for the Cocoa Angel, and use Ange du Cacao to reflect our company's roots.
