Plain and Simple brings together former Angels Gate Studio Artists Betsy Lohrer Hall and Yong Sin for the first time.
Hall and Sin employ personal systems of repetiti...on and pattern in their artmaking process, through different processes and for separate purposes. Both artists explore form through the complex forms that emerge from the systematic process of placing simple shapes in relation to one another, bringing forth an emergent and focused whole.

On Thursday, October 22, at 7 pm, artists Darren Hostetter and S. Ian Song will take part in a roundtable discussion about their work for Flying Machine, their current two person show at Angels Gate Cultural Center. Flying Machine brings together two artists with a shared enthusiasm for the forms and aesthetics of airc...raft, who also have deep insight into relevant social, political and historical issues that surround their subject matter. Marshall Astor, Visual Arts Director at the Center and curator of the exhibition, will moderate and introduce the discussion.Read More
