Suzie Jones Harry Bartel had a great influence on getting the TNR program started with the Spay Neuter Hotline. He believed in us, and we never missed an appointment for the cats. We will miss him sorely.

Animal Defense League of Arizona After a failed attempt to convince legislators to permit slots at tracks (racinos), Phoenix Greyhound Park is planning to shut down in December. ADLA and partner group Greyhound Network News have been tracking potential racino measures. Racinos perpetuate over-breeding of racing animals to supply racetracks. Despite n...ationwide rescue efforts and a decline in the number of greyhounds bred, thousands of greyhounds are still being killed annually. For more information see the Legislative Report in the current ADLA Newsletter at www. adlaz.org. For information on the plight of racing dogs visit Greyhound Network News at www.greyhoundnetworknews.org
