Panther & Sabrina......
Panther & his siblings were living on my patio, when Sabrina came along one day, looking very thin and hungry. The group didn't seem to mind letting her share the food. And very soon, all bonded. They consider her part of the family. Most especially Panther. He took to her right away it ...seemed. And he developed a very special bond, one I have never quite seen before between cats. Those 2 so obviously love each other. Even now, being couped up indoors together their love is still strong.

Their Story.......
This group of four have been together since birth. I have taken care of them since they left their nest in June of 2008. I took care of them as outdoor cats. They had an outdoor shelter and I gave them fresh water and food daily.
In May of 2009 I ended up having to bring them ALL inside. Originally the...re were 5, that I was caring for. In early May 1 disappeared and never returned. Shortly after that, Panther was attacked and left with a gaping wound on his back end. As I took care of that and it was starting to heal, a couple weeks later I noticed a huge abcess on his left side. Yet another attack. I had him in to the vet and got him on antibiotics and 3 days later he disappeared. I feared the worst.
He was gone for 8 days. Sabrina his mate, waited and watched for him daily. As time went on I think both she and I were giving up hope, and fearing he met the same fate as Dylan had. Yet on the 8th day, he showed up that evening. His body covered in scratches, deep gouges on his head.
He just walked onto the patio, and plopped down as if to say, I made it! The look on Sabrina's face when she saw him was surprise and happiness and Panther got up to greet her immediately when she showed up.
I had no choice after that, to bring him and the whole family in. After all, their a group. Who've lived together and counted on each other since birth.
Currently the are living in my attached garage. I have been working with them these past 6 months to try and get them to be less afraid. I have made some progress.
Panther was ALWAYS friendly! Can pick him up, give him hugs and kisses and he'll just purr away.
Sabrina (Panther's mate) is shy and skittish. But she will let me pet her some and does not run away and hide when I come around.
Dana (Panthers sister) Does run and hide and very rarely lets me pet her.
Red (Panthers brother) Also hides, unless it's feeding time and the food just happens to be Fancy Feast! That is definitely the way to Red's heart. Then he'll actually let me pet him. But still he is very shy and skittish.
Their a family! And need to be outdoors where they can run as they used to. However, because I have always cared for them. They Do need someone to love them and care for them.
I am looking for someone.. who can love them as much as I do. Panther/Sabrina may be able to be both indoor and outdoor. Doubtful so for Dana & Red. So they will need some sort of shelter to stay warm in winter and cool in summer. To be able to get out of the elements. Somewhere they will be Safe, Loved and Cared for.
All are up to date on Shots. And have been spayed/neutered. The things they consider "theirs" will also go with them.
They are in the Walworth county Wisconsin area. Please crosspost.... and help me find this unique and sweet little family a forever home!

Susan Osterhout Troiano Every year I help our local animal shelter raise money. We are a non-kill shelter that places over 500 animals a year. In addition, we have a volunteer personal trainer to help those problem pets that may have a hard time getting placed. The shelter makes sure these animals are on their best behavior so they can get ad...opted quickly. We even taken in dogs from Puerto Rico. Now that's helping our animals. Please help donate so that we can continue our good work.

Everyday our animals are loosing their homes because of the economy but these animals don't understand this and I can only imagine what they must think when they are surrendered for what ever reason. If they could go out and defend themselves like we could I am sure they would. ...

The consequences of pet overpopulation are much too tragic to be simplified. The number of victims – unwanted homeless dogs and cats – is of such magnitude that it is time that society be made aware of the reality of this tragedy. The statistics tell the story. T...

Michelle sooo... i can post my dogs here? how would i do that?

Susan Osterhout Troiano I think it is important if you are trying to place animals for adoption you should put the location of these animals. In addition, you should be willing to help get transportation if the animal is going in another location.
