Joshua Tree National Park is the playground for this spring break adventure. This national park is located in southern California, in the southern-most region of the Great Basin. At over 3500 feet above sea level, the western side of Joshua Tree is part of the high desert environment, a land that is known for its rugge...d terrain and sagebrush-covered earth. If you've never visited the desert, Joshua Tree is a wonderful place to discover its beauty. The plant life alone will fascinate, not to mention the unending surrealistic rock formations.

Goals for the trip:
1. Fun--one goal of our trip is to enjoy a break from the dreary MI winter.
2. Climb. Joshua Tree is one of the most famous climbing destinations in the world.
Participants will have the opportunity to try several different climbs of varied difficulty.
Beginning climbers will have the chance to learn the basics of rock climbing.
3. Hike. Joshua Tree has terrain unlike anything in the Midwest...
Participants will learn about Leave No Trace ethics, the desert ecosystem (high desert),
flora and fauna of the desert, large and small animals of the desert
4. Encourage personal growth through group experience.
