The Ann Arbor School of Yoga is an institute for the enjoyment and study of the Iyengar method of Yoga. Our director, Laurie Blakeney, has been practicing Yoga since 1971 and is a personal student of Shri B.K.S. Iyengar, the founder of the method.

Ann Arbor School of Yoga It's cold outside, and rainy. Good time to think about yoga vacation in Mexico. Just heard that flights from Detroit on NW Feb. 27-March 6 are cheap right now. Great time to plan a week of practice, relaxation and fun!

I began my study of Iyengar Yoga at age 19 in 1971. I was immediately hooked. Six years later I began teaching classes, and since then I have been even more enthusiastic with the challenge of teaching the subject. In 1983 I began annual study trips to our parent institute, RIMYI in Pune India...
