County Executive John R. Leopold invites the community on Saturday, October 31, 2009 to celebrate the grand re-opening of the Matthewstown-Harmans Community Park in Hanover. The event will take place at 2:15 p.m. in the park. The park is located at 7551 Teague Road adjacent to Joe Cannon Stadium.
County Executive Leopol...d, working alongside the Matthewstown and Harmans communities and Recreation and Parks, implemented a plan resulting in the development of the newly renovated Matthewstown-Harmans Community Park.
Families can walk to their park and enjoy upgraded amenities such as a playground with swings, basketball and tennis courts, picnic pavilion, walking trail, community gardens and open play areas.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will be followed by neighborhood-sponsored activities to include a Halloween costume parade and snacks. Join us!
