The Midshipmen candidates from the Naval Academy Preparatory School (NAPS) visited the U.S. Naval Academy Oct. 28 through Nov. 1, 2009. During the visit, each candidate was paired with a Midshipman where they were able to not only tour the Yard, but they were also allowed time to sit in on classes.

The school prepares ...selected candidates morally, mentally and physically for officer accession through the U.S. Naval Academy, with emphasis on strengthening the academic foundation of each candidate.

Roughly 300 Academy candidates attend NAPS each year. And to facilitate their academic and military preparation, there is a group of staff and faculty working to do the job as proficiently as possible.
