Thanks Gay. It's probably my favourite too. :D

I was not a huge fan of Michael Jackson, but there is one song I absolutely loved and will always make me respect him. "Remember the Time". I think it's Michael at his best. It's a sexy song and his personality, the true essence, just shines through...at least, that's how I feel it...

Maybe *that's* what's missing!

I burned 8 tracks to a cd yesterday to have a listen to my "almost an album"... in the car, on my ipod, home stereo, anywhere to get a feel and see if there's stuff I need to fix. I am quite amazed at what I've done...

Just putting down the final vocals for my latest album contribution. It's a song called "That's The Way It Used To Be". It's probably my bitterest song yet and touches somewhat on the tragique artiste psyche of mine. No touchy feely happiness here I'm afraid...

Anne-Lise Larsen 8 songs ready to mix and master. 4 songs in the works and possible contenders for inclusion on this new album. I am thinking this might be a 9 track release.

Anne-Lise Larsen Album work all this week. Hooray. No more side projects to distract me.

Well, I wasn't selected for inclusion on the Roxy Music tribute. To say I'm not disappointed wouldn't be true, but I have to accept it and move on...

Anne-Lise Larsen is feeling a bit down. I didn't make the cut for the Roxy Music tribute CD. They were looking for something a bit more "shocking". Probably a good thing. I was too close (in feeling and respect) to the song to mash it up I think.

If you'd like to hear my rejected unmastered version of In Every Dream Home A Heartache, I'll have it on a hidden page on my website for a few days. It's got a ripping cello solo! http://www.anne-liselarsen .com/dreamhome.html
Right click or apple click (or whatever apple key it is) to download the mp3 from the "In Every Dreamhome A Heartache. m p 3" link.

Anne-Lise Larsen Thinking realistically, I have decided to push back the album release until the end of the year. That gives me another 4/5 months or so of tweaking and a month or two to organise, artwork, pressings, distribution etc. Sounds doable.

Anne-Lise Larsen It's getting to that stage of the affair where I've begun thinking about album artwork.

This has been a very busy past week as I've been working to a rather unforeseen deadline. An opportunity to prepare and submit my own version of Roxy Music's "In Every Dream Home A Hearthache" arose and there was no chance of my refusing this challenge...

This is one of my favourite songs from the new album. I've just finished the final mix so thought I'd share the lyrics with you.I'm thinking about uploading some sneak peek audio of this to my facebook music page...

Well, that's not beyond the realms of possibilities! ;)

Anne-Lise Larsen I just finished "Felt So Good". I think it's done. I feel drained, emotional and a bit melancholy thanks to the subject, but am so pleased with what I consider to be my album's masterpiece. Yes, I'm actually using the word masterpiece.

Anne-Lise Larsen Someone leaked a sneak peek of "That's The Way It Used To Be" to my music player. Who could it have been?

Anne-Lise Larsen Working on a new song called "That's The Way It Used To Be". Quite a bit different from the "I'm Alive" EP. I hope you're open to some new sounds - this ones very alternative pop funk, if you can imagine that. Yes, and it's VERY bitter. This album is a bit funkier than my laid back smoother jazzier EP.

Oh, it's just full of ambiguous angst aimed at all these things Mark!
