What a difference a president makes. I was talking to Miriam Nieves today, and she was beaming over this nomination. We both agreed how terrific it is to be proud of a president again.

Does the name Grandy Nanny ring any bells? She was a warrior sorceress and is one of Jamaica's six national heroes. Grandy Nanny was shanghaied from the Aka tribe in Africa and taken on a slave ship to Jamaica. She was an obeah woman, or priestess in secret African practices, and this made her powerful spiritually and ...politically in Jamaica. Antelope Valley Women in Action (AVWA) Ruth Madoff, wife of the notorious Bernie Madoff, convicted for a $65 billion ponzi scheme, was recently asked if she had anything to say to the victims of her husband's ponzi scheme, and her response was, "I have nothing to say to you." Do you think she should have taken the opportunity to apologize? Should the beneficiaries of illegal activities acknowledge their responsibility and apologize?

An attorney friend who deals with people like Madoff told me he came to understand that to them, the rest of us are just ants to be stepped on. It's a delusion that will bring them many future lifetimes of misery. The Madoffs of the world shouldl be punished by our legal system, but if it doesn't happen, we needn't worry. The universe take care of it. They can't run and they can't hide.

I think is is another WMD (weapon of mass distraction). "Nancy knew! Nancy knew! We'll just keep the topic on 'Nancy knew' so that no one will discuss the fact the Bush and Cheney CAUSED it." As long as we allow the GOP smear machine to shape our opinions of our own people, we'll never get anywhere. Take back the power!

They are Full of BS. if the case against Nancy was true. Don't you think Bush would have used this in his defense while still in office. This would have taken some heat off of him. These are lies and misleading truths to make the Democratic Leaders look embarrassed. But it's not going to work for those of us who have been paying attention since 2004. the facts have been presented already.

I agree Kristiana...If Nancy knew, Bush (& the Republicans) would have used it. It seems that they want to show that Dems leadership approved so that attention is moved away from them and they will do this by any means necessary.
