Antics Performance
Antics Performance is a hip hop dance/theater company based in Los Angeles under the artistic direction of Amy “Catfox” Campion. Antics Performance creates multi-media urban dance performances that incorporate hip hop dance, breakdancing, locking, popping, Capoeira, DJ’s, spoken word, theater, and film into hand-clapp...ing, foot-stomping performances. Antics Performance has appeared at the Ford Amphitheater, El Portal Theatre, REDCAT Theater, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion at the Music Center, and has been featured at the JUiCE Hip Hop Dance Festival, the Pasadena Dance Festival, Dancing in the Margins Festival, and many more. Needed:
BBoys, BGirls, House Dancers, Lockers, Poppers, Krumpers, and Hip Hop Dancers. Dancers should have skills with freestyling and skills with choreography.
Additional experience with acting, mc’ing, poetry, dj’ing, and other dance styles is a plus.
Possible additional dancers needed for unpaid understudy/intern positions.
Details:
Two paid rehearsals per week (3 hours each).
Rehearsal schedule to be determined around dancers’ schedules.
Paid performance gigs of all types from theater shows to parties- pay varies.

Antics Performance
Antics Performance Artistic Director Amy Campion holds and Master of Fine Arts degree from UCLA’s Department of World Arts and Cultures and a BA in dance from the University of Washington. She has taught workshops and classes to a wide range of ages and skill levels from enthusiastic 7 year-olds at the Boys and Girls C...lub to serious-minded college students at UCLA, CSUN, EL Camino College, and Cerritos College. Campion teaches hip hop, Capoeira, breakdancing, and choreography and has led performance and art activism projects at UCLA, Heartbeat House, the Echo Park Boys & Girls Club, and the Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking. Currently, she teaches hip hop at Cerritos College and El Camino College.
