The core of Antikvariat is summarized in our tagline - Vintage Paper Ephemera from Old Europe. Adopting a name from the Czech language which means antiquarian, I strive to bring forth past and forgotten ephemera originating from the old European lands.
What were once "minor transient documents of everyday life" (The Ephemera Society, UK), these vintage and antique items are given a new perspective in today's modern world as a treasured and cherish possession.
Here at Antikvariat I also strive to provide an excellent customer service that will satisfy and delight. From squealing in delight upon a new ephemeral discovery, to the mundane job of manning the Etsy storefront, the customer is at the forefront of my mind, every step of the way. Still in its infancy, Antikvariat will continue to grow, and we are happy for you to join and support us in our growth.

THE SOUL BEHIND ANTIKVARIAT
Hello everyone, I am Riz Sedek, the face behind Antikvariat. Moving to the Czech Republic not too long ago, I developed a new favorite pastime - going to the antique book store and flipping through history. I love books and the printed matter. And there is a charm about being in old Europe that makes you go nostalgic all over. So the shop was really born out of these two sentiments coming together. I enjoy flipping through the pages in the antique bookstore, for aged pages and old postcards, looking at typefaces and illustrations of the past.
