- Antony and the Johnsons was first formed by Antony in 1998. Antony's first record, the self titled "Antony and the Johnsons" was released in 2000 by David Tibet of Current 93 on his Durtro label. Antony's second album "I Am A Bird Now" was released in 2005 to positive reviews. The album featured guest appearances by Lou Reed, Rufus Wainwright, Boy George and Devendra Banhart.
