I was born in this town and have spent most of my life here. And yet, despite the fact that I was checking signs and such for errors starting around age 3, I have never seen anyone refer to Naples as just a Naple.

Consider the apostrophe. It is one of the smallest elements of the English language and yet it is so powerful that it can convey ownership as surely as any deed or contract. It can conjure up the state of being as surely as any philosopher.

I am often torn between my desire to uphold grammar and spelling standards and my love of making up new words. The people who created this product clearly feel the same way...
